Account Deletion

Delete your Skooly account

This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data. You do not need to sign in to read it.

The app this applies to

How to request deletion

In the app:

  1. Open Skooly One.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm with your password.

If you sign in with Google, you will not be asked for a password — confirm the deletion when prompted.

When deletion cannot be completed straight away

In a few cases the app will ask you to resolve something first. This is expected, not a fault:

What is removed and what is retained

Removed:your profile, your sign-in credentials, and your access to any organisation you belong to. If you were the sole guardian on record for a child, that child’s profile is removed with you if you choose that when confirming.

Retained: financial records — invoices, payments and receipts — are kept for 5 years, the period required by Singapore tax and accounting law. This is a legal obligation we cannot waive: a school’s books cannot be rewritten because one user leaves. These records stay with the organisation’s accounts, not with you.

To be plain about what deletion means here: your account is deactivated and disassociated from you. You can no longer sign in, and the retained accounting entries are no longer linked to your identity — we do not claim that every row containing your data is erased from the system. Deleted data may also persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before those backups age out.

Our Privacy Policy sets out our retention periods in full.

If you cannot sign in

Email support@getskooly.com from the address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request. Use this route if you have lost access to the app or to your sign-in method.
